www.aardman.com Following the announcement of the first Shaun the Sheep movie going into production, Aardman will be heading to Brand Licensing to unveil future plans for the global brand as well as and established properties Wallace & Gromit, Timmy Time and Morph. Before the feature length animation hits the big
screen, Shaun the Sheep, which is currently showing its third series on CBBC and in 170 territories around the world, has just been given the green light for 20 brand new TV adventures set for release early in 2014. Shaun the Sheep continues to establish itself as a global brand across both traditional and emerging platforms and live events. Alongside this, Aardman Rights will also be
exploring new partnerships for CiTV flagship show, Canimals, the 44x7’ episode series aimed at kids aged 6-10, featuring the high energy adventures of several can-shaped, CGI animals and the mischief that they get up to in the real world. With Vivid on board as master toy licensee and the toy range launching across all major retailers, it looks to be an exciting year for this fresh new brand.

www.tattyteddytoys.com The award-winning Tatty Teddy & My Blue Nose Friends girls’ property will showcase the latest licensed products, including playsets, collectable figurines and partyware, in a dedicated area at Brand Licensing Europe this Autumn. Launched one year ago, Tatty Teddy & My Blue Nose Friends has enjoyed early success, winning multiple awards from retailers and consumers. Created by UK-based Carte Blanche Group, Tatty Teddy & My
Blue Nose Friends has huge global licensing potential. The 2013 marketing campaign includes sponsorship on
TV channel Pop, and kids’ website Bin Weevils, as well as experiential events at Alton Towers and in-store costume visits this Autumn at branches of Smyths Toys and The Entertainer. Further marketing activity includes a takeover on Swapit, inclusion in the Box of OMG, pre-Christmas events with Hamleys, toy giveaways in national press, and a charity partnership with Jeans for Genes. Tatty Teddy & My Blue Nose Friends is a multi-character concept for girls aged eight and under. The combination of Tatty Teddy’s shy, trusting character, and My Blue Nose Friends’ cute and cheeky personalities, allows for limitless potential for stories and adventures. There are over 100 My Blue Nose Friends characters, allowing opportunities to ‘theme’ the animals according to season, location or activity. Sam Kelly, head of UK licensing, commented: “We are thrilled at how well the Tatty Teddy & My Blue Nose Friends brand has been received and it is important that we concentrate on strengthening our core category of toy, as the brand is still in its infancy. There will be opportunities in 2013 to extend the brand presence in toy with secondary licences in categories which promote social interaction, aligning with the brand’s core values of friendship and sharing. From 2014 and beyond, we will begin to look at additional categories and opportunities for the brand.”
