Frozen
The remainder of the year is still falling into place but there’s a new stop motion animation from the makers of Coraline and ParaNorman in Boxtrolls and a Romeo & Juliet inspired animated tale in The Book of Life.
Aside from family films, Spider-Man returns to battle Electro and The Rhino in The Amazing Spider-Man 2 3D. Captain America: The Winter Soldier continues the build up to 2015’s Avengers: Age Of Ultron. Different generations of X-Men are united in X-Men: Days Of Future Past and the Godzilla story is reborn in a brand new imagining from British director Gareth Edwards. The Transformers are back for a fourth instalment, entitled Transformers: Age Of Extinction and this time the Dinobots reportedly feature. Transformers director Michael Bay is also producing the new live-action Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles adventure, which is set for release in October. Finally, the year ends on a high with the third Hunger Games film,
Mockingjay Part 1, the spectacular conclusion to Peter Jackson’s Hobbit trilogy, There And Back Again and a third entry in the popular Night At The Museum series. Phew, 2014 promises a myriad of cinematic thrills and the renaissance of animated films looks set to continue.
