airplc.co.uk The brand new Appen from GP Flair is the fi rst of a new collection under the GP Tech banner. Appen allows children to learn, write and colour on a tablet. The patented,
pressure-sensitive silicone nib works as a colouring pen, joystick and learning aid w hen used in conjunction with the dedicated free app. With Appen, any compatible android or iOS tablet holds a host of learning possibilities. The nib’s pressure sensitivity feature means that the harder the child presses on the tablet, the thicker the line will be. The result is an electronic colouring and drawing experience that is as realistic as the real thing. Appen requires no batteries; to use, simply plug it in via the headphone socket of any compatible tablet. When turned upside-down, the device takes on a new function as children can use the nib of the pen as a joystick to play a variety of games. The pen is designed for children’s hands and has a speaker for positive reinforcement of learning. With a core target market of children aged 3-6, this tool will have a wide range of extension apps and updates to grow with the child. Appen is available from June and will be TV advertised.

Children can also see the world from the comfort of their homes with
