Available in various themes including Wildlife, Undersea World, Insect World, Dinosaurs and Farm Animals, these kits contain pre- printed modelling paper that can be folded to create a series of highly detailed creatures. Each kit also comes with practice sheets that are ideal for honing origami talents without the risk of spoiling the printed origami paper. Other animal-themed creative kits include Tobar’s Pocket Craft Spiral Pets.

These fi gures are easy to make by following the illustrated instructions, and the googly eyes provide a fi nishing touch. With a range of animal designs, including a frog, cat, rabbit, dog, panda and penguin, this set makes an ideal party activity or rainy day craft. The Friendship Bracelets make-your-own set, which was also introduced

in April this year, comes with lots of materials for a variety of designs. Inside are 20 eight-metre embroidery threads, six plastic bangles, 150 crystal accent beads, 30 plastic buttons, 50 gemstones, glitter glue and fabric glue, all creating up to six colourful bangles. The Sparkling Beads Set is for making decorations and jewellery. This set comes with 3,800 decorative beads, 6,200 crystal beads, ten metres of elastic cord, two eight-metre bead strings and a butterfl y-shaped work station. The bumper-sized kit is a simple craft set that, like the Friendship Bracelets kit, is easy enough for children of eight years and up to use. Alongside these new lines, Tobar will also continue some of its best-sellers, one of which is the Aircraft Carrier. From the fl at-packed pieces of varnish- coated board, a sturdy model of an aircraft-carrier, along with nine miniature aircraft kits, can be built by slotting the pieces together. Marketed as a puzzle, there are no instructions, meaning this kit inspires creative play.
