Entry requirements: A degree or a Foundation Degree depending on the pathway plus Maths and English GCSE at grade C or above (or equivalent). All candidates must have CRB clearance.


Early Years Professional Status (EYPS) is a status awarded by the Children’s Workforce Development Council (CWDC) for graduate level curriculum leaders working with young children across the new Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS). There are a range of pathways available to suit different circumstances.

Attendance: Two years full-time one designated day (or equivalent) each week starting in September.


Entry requirements: Participants must be in employment in an Early Years setting for at least two days a week and have at least two years experience of work in early years contexts. They must also have a positive reference from their employer or head of Early Years setting. They will have appropriate levels of numeracy and literacy to support children and have an NVQ level 3 or equivalent qualification. Participants must also demonstrate ability to undertake degree level study.


This course recognises your knowledge and experience as a senior practitioner and is also the first step towards Early Years Professional Status (EYPS).


The course provides a sound theoretical and practice- related knowledge base for those working with young children from birth to five. It is made up of both taught and work-based components and takes a multi- disciplinary and multi-agency approach. Students receive support in writing and study skills, including support for Maths up to GCSE standard if required.

Economics (Joint Honours) BA/BSc (Hons)

Attendance: Three years full-time or flexible part-time. Students can complete a placement in the third year, making the course four years long.


Entry requirements: Standard entry requirements apply. A typical offer would be around 260-300 UCAS tariff points.


This course provides students with the opportunity to study a range of economic topics alongside another complementary subject. Study reflects contemporary economics both in the UK and overseas and students can select key areas of interest from a range of modules.
