Architectural Technology BSc (Hons)

Attendance: Three years full-time or flexible part-time. Teaching time is two or three days per week, leaving the rest of the week available for study and/or work placement experience.


Entry requirements: Standard entry requirements apply. A typical offer is around 240-300 UCAS points or successful completion of a Foundation Art and Design course or equivalent qualification. Students will be expected to have achieved GCSE English and Mathematics (or equivalent) at grade C or above. We welcome international applicants and encourage applications from those with a range of non- traditional educational or professional qualifications.


The course provides students with the skills, knowledge and experience to work in the world of the built environment. Students apply their knowledge within a range of practical settings including architectural design, technology and project management.


This course is accredited in principle by the Chartered Institute of Architectural Technology (CIAT).

Architectural Technology HND

Attendance: Two years full-time or flexible part-time. Teaching time is two or three days per week, leaving the rest of the week available for study and/or work placement experience.


Entry requirements: Standard entry requirements apply. A typical offer would be around 140-180 UCAS tariff points. Students will be expected to have achieved GCSE English and Mathematics (or equivalent) at grade C or above. We welcome international applicants and encourage applications from those with a range of non-traditional educational or professional qualifications.


The course introduces students to the general concepts and themes of architectural technology. Students acquire skills in computer aided design and surveying and apply their knowledge to client-based scenarios. On successful completion, students can progress onto the BSc (Hons) degree programme.

Art and Design Foundation Diploma UCAS code:


UCAS description: Location: Avenue Campus Attendance: One year full-time.


Entry requirements: Standard entry requirements apply. A typical offer would be around two to three A levels, including an Art and Design subject. We welcome international applications and applications from students with a range of non-traditional educational or professional qualifications. All qualified applicants will be interviewed with a portfolio of work. Advice is given at interview to those who need guidance.


The course is a broadly based, challenging and enriching diagnostic experience aimed at providing students with the motivation and skills necessary to prepare for entry onto a degree or HND course in the field of Art and Design. Students explore a range of media, determine their specialism and build up a portfolio for their higher education application.


Students have their own personal studio and exhibition space and work alongside degree students with full access to a wide range of specialist facilities.
