Attendance: Two years full-time or three years part-time. Approved work-based learning may reduce the class contact hours. Direct progression to stage three via BA (Hons) Business and Management (top-up).
Entry requirements: Standard entry requirements apply. All students must attend an interview. Applicants should have a BTEC National, AVCE or one A level. Relevant work experience and training will be considered in addition to any formal qualifications. Applicants must be in suitable part- time employment by the commencement of the course and interviews may be required. A typical offer would be around 120-140 UCAS tariff points.
This course gives students a practical grounding in a range of business disciplines such as accounting, human resource management, operations management and marketing. Students must complete work-based modules and therefore need to secure suitable part-time work before studying.

Attendance: Three years full-time or flexible part-time. It is also possible to undertake a placement year in year three, making the course four years long.
Entry requirements: Standard entry requirements apply. A typical offer would be around 260-300 UCAS tariff points.
This course allows Joint Honours students to develop an understanding of business issues. It covers a range of areas such as marketing, human resources and finance and offers students the opportunity to develop entrepreneurial and employability skills.

Business and Management (top-up) BA (Hons)

Attendance: One year full-time. This course is also available part-time as a distance learning course. Location: Park Campus
Entry requirements: Applications are welcomed from students with an HND (Edexcel, ABE, NCC) or Foundation Degree in Business (or overseas equivalent).
If English is not your first language you must provide evidence that you will be able to study at degree level English. You will be required to show that your use of English is equivalent to IELTS 6.0 or TOEFL 550/213.
The course is specifically designed for holders of HND qualifications (or similar UK and international qualifications). The award allows such students to gain a full honours degree in one year. The course covers key aspects of business and management practice and theory and emphasises the development of individual and group skills. Students can follow a range of pathways to meet their individual interests and career aspirations including marketing, finance, human resources and general business.
