Criminology is the study of crime, social order and social control. Criminology has the distinctive approach of drawing on the disciplines of Sociology, Psychology, History and Law. This course provides a comprehensive introduction to some of the key theoretical and methodological issues at the heart of the discipline and enables students to acquire and develop a realistic view of this complex social phenomenon. Students can also undertake practical fieldwork where they study a specific criminal justice agency or institution.

Entry requirements: Standard entry requirements apply. A typical offer would be around 260-300 UCAS tariff points. We welcome applications from those with a range of non- traditional educational or professional qualifications, such as previous study of dance in the private sector. If this is the case then students should normally be of ‘elementary’ standard or equivalent. Students will be asked to attend a workshop/audition.
Dance is an exciting course offering a unique blend of practical experience and academic studies. Students gain a firm grounding in technique, choreography, history and criticism. Students develop the skills needed to succeed in today’s independent dance profession and have opportunities to undertake placements.
