Attendance: Three years full time. Intake in October each year.
Entry requirements: One of the following routes: • 240-300 UCAS tariff points at A level along with five GCSEs grade A–C
• A BTEC National Diploma at M, M, M and five GCSEs grade A–C
• National Certificate Advanced GNVQ/GSVQ Merit grade overall and five GCSEs grade A–C
• A kitemarked Access to Higher Education course with 30 credits at Merit or above
• Successful completion of the first year of a relevant Foundation Degree, along with five GCSEs grade A–C
• A Health and Social Care Diploma at Level 3 (advanced level) along with five GCSEs grade A–C
English and Maths GCSE at grade C or above are essential and must be achieved prior to commencement of the course. Recent academic study completed within the last five years is also required. Where the applicant’s first language is not English, evidence of an IELTS score of 7 is required.
The pre-registration Nursing course trains nurses to a high clinical, professional and academic standard. Students on the Child Nursing pathway undertake appropriate practice placements to prepare for work across all the clinical environments where children need healthcare.
