Light produces a simple chart of the ink key settings which can be printed to a printer or saved as a PDF file; Key- Setter Pro produces a specific file for- mat for presses that require proprietary format ink key setting data; KeySetter Connect provides the greatest level of automation in the pressroom with a direct connection to the press console. LasX Industries (Booth 2041) is fea- turing the LaserSharp Spider STP-400 digital finishing system, a fully auto- mated sheetfed laser solution with high speed variable processing and robotics. It is the first automated laser solution reported with integration to a robotic pick and place system. This digital finishing system utilizes a scalable technology that enables the laser processing of complex, variable nested shapes while matching digital printing speeds, providing a complete inline solution. It is suited for printers who are finishing printed sheets with variable part sizes, complex nesting of rotated parts, intricate cut patterns, vari- able data, and frequent pattern changes. It has new control software designed job
for queue manufacturing that
requires multiple processing speeds. The new controls offer the flexibility of laser cutting product families with both complex and simple piece designs in the same production run, eliminating downtime costs, increasing production time and revenue. The software uses parameters for individual jobs to create a queue with a series of smaller jobs in the same production run. The job queue can be manually created based on sheet quantities or automatically with barcode registration. The barcode registration also offers the ability to process variable printed sheets.

Web-to-print Software
WitPrint Technology (Booth 238)
is offering demonstrations of its Web Cloud software, a web-to-print plat- form. The software features an online design tool: a free-style features-rich design tool for graphic creation by utilizing templates; an online upload tool that accepts popular file types (AI, CDR, PSD, PDF, J-PEG, TIFF, and PNG) instant PDF proofing; My Folder feature: provides server space for cus- tomers to store works; and full e-com- merce
features with shopping cart, online ordering, and online payment. Web Cloud offers smooth web-front operations. Customers first pick prod- ucts, use online tools to design graph- ics or upload their files, view and approve instant PDF proofs, and then follow e-commerce steps to complete ordering. Upon orders, Web Cloud immediately pushes press-ready PDF files to a user’s shop for printing.
