NORTH/EAST
AGUAS BLANCAS One of the island’s most famous nudist beaches, Aguas Blancas is also highly regarded as one of Ibiza’s more famous beauty spots, translated literally as white waters. The stunning rock formations and secluded location keep it unspoilt, and the shallow sea depth makes it perfect for lazy family days. This is an altogether more interesting excursion than some of the more overcrowded and over-developed beaches.
BENIRRAS Popular with the legendary hippies of the island, lounge at Benirras all afternoon and be sure to stay for sunset, when the bongos come out, the poi dancers get up and the atmosphere turns electric. One of the few remaining true hippy experiences, Benirras is an unmissable addition to any trip to the island.
CALA LLENYA Boasting a variety of watersports, beach bars and long shallow depths, the stunning Cala Llenya is a popular choice with families. A stunning expanse of soft white sand awaits those lucky enough to have transport, and the beach can be reached after following signposts to San Carlos.
PORTINATX The northern-most point on the island, Portinax has long been a popular spot with any Ibizan visitors. With boat trips running from more southern points such as San Antonio, you can make a full day of your journey with a quick sail before relaxing in the crystal clear water, delivered over three beaches. The jaw-dropping views are also worth the trip, and if you’re feeling more adventurous you will also find a wide range of watersports on offer.
CALA SAN VICENTE With shops, bars and restaurants on tap, a long winding golden beach and unspoilt waters, Cala San Vicente is another stunning location to stop off at in the north of the island. With a reliable bus service and good signposting, it does remain a busier resort than some, but this is understandable when the activities on offer compliment the beauty of the spot so well.
SOUTH
Ibiza’s coastline is broken down into a wide variety of beaches, from the most commercial flavoured to beautiful rock-sheltered coves and golden paradises. Taking advantage of one of the island’s fabulous beaches is a must, whether for a quick burst in the afternoon or a whole day’s magical mystery excursion…

SA CALENTE A smaller and more secluded beach than most, Sa Calente is a highly popular spot with locals — always a good sign when those in the know choose to spend their days here. With a highly regarded seafood restaurant on offer and a stunning setting near the high cliffs of the south, you can spend a day here enjoying the views, clear water and chilled out atmosphere.
PLAYA D’EN BOSSA One of the better-known beaches on the island, Playa D’en Bossa is highly popular with Ibiza’s party people. With a variety of beach bars — ranging from
