streets of the old town on the way up to the magnificent Dalt Vila, you’ll find this charming traditional eatery serving Spanish fare at seriously reasonable prices. Family run and seeping charm from the walls, you can dine out for as little as 30 euros per couple if you choose well, and when visiting such an atmospheric town it would be a travesty not to sample some of the more typically Ibizan food on offer.

el Pirata CALLE GARIJO Another Italian offering in the town is El Pirata, famed through its diners for unfaultable thin crust pizzas. This atmospheric and lively venue ties in nicely en route to a big night out, and with a highly recommended cooked breakfast also on offer for the morning/ afternoon after — alongside a wide selection of drinks — it’s easy to see why the restaurant continues to pack out every season.

la BraSa CALLE DE PERE SALA Again located deep into the old town, La Brasa’s key feature is an attractive (though a little shy in size) garden terrace in which to enjoy a long, lounging meal. Serving a selection of traditional tapas, meat, salads and fresh-from-the-tank seafood, the prices reflect the attention to detail, but with its charming setting against the castle walls and friendly staff on hand, it provides an ideal outlet in which to spend your more special nights on the island.

Eating out in Ibiza is one of the great pleasures to be had on the island. All sorts of quality food is available in the many differing eateries, whether specialising in Spanish, Italian, French, Thai or any number of other cultures, and the most expensive tastes to smallest budget is amply catered for.
