where you can also find breakfast, lunch and dinner options to compliment the mouth-watering selection of cocktails on offer.
HusH WEST END
Since opening in 2005 to an audible buzz, Hush has quickly become one of the cooler hangouts in the intense and raucous location of the West End. Its modern interior and young, vibrant atmosphere make it the ideal candidate for the popular workers parties and long-running promotions it regularly hosts. Combining the cheapness of the West End with a real atmosphere and up for it crowd, the hype here is justified.
iTaCa AVENIDA DR FLEMING Really coming into its own in recent years due to its fine selection of promotions, cool Mayan-themed interior and huge upstairs and downstairs terraces, Itaca is now one of the major players in the San An scene. With a wide selection of tapas and international food on the menu and luscious cocktails on offer, the bar packs out with musically educated clubbers and cool, attractive scenesters making it a must-do venue in the highly competitive seafront market.
kaNya CALLE SOLLETAT A long running favourite with the pre party evening scene and also reliably banging out some top class tunes
throughout the daytime, Kanya is all the more seductive since its massive refurb a few years back. With a gorgeous poolside decking area and no charge for sunbeds throughout the hot summer days, mooch on down and enjoy the delicious menu and broad drinks list in the always upbeat setting. Also a good spot for eyeing up the scarcely dressed promo girls and lounging with your mates as the sun sets in the distance.
kuMHaras CALA DE BOU A true Ibiza gem, Kumharas remains home to the spiritually-led hippies that made Ibiza’s name all those years ago. The back restaurant offers gorgeous seafood, steak and Asian influenced dishes served on huge cushion-adorned seating areas, whilst the front terrace provides one of the most tear-inducing settings in which to watch the sun go down. With bongos aplenty, a range of stalls selling amazing jewellery, clothing and Ibizan trinkets and an amazing interior filled with unique furniture and a mass of tables, Kumharas is a must when visiting the west side of the island.
oraNGe CorNer AVENIDA DR FLEMING The first stop on the run of bars down San Antonio’s beach front, Orange Corner lives up to its name with its bright orange interior and lively music policy. Offering reasonably priced beach bar-style meals and a large terraced seating area, the bar is more
Cafe Mambo
than worthy of a mojito refuel whilst enjoying the more party-focused tunes and various drinks offers.
plasTik AVENIDA DR FLEMING After starting life in the centre of the tightly knit West End, Plastik took up its new spot en route to the bay after a couple of seasons and now hosts one of the biggest lists of pre parties in the town. Warming up for the likes of Pete Tong’s Wonderland, Hed Kandi, Judgement Sundays and Tiësto amongst others, Plastik’s mantra is similar to that of the smaller sized Hush — a quality, sociable meeting point for workers, a classier setting than most San An watering holes, and Ibiza standard tunes from some of the town’s bigger DJ names.
saVaNNaH SUNSET STRIP The epitome of chilled out, upmarket Ibizan vibes, Savannah holds pride of place on the island due to its sunset- drenched setting, large blissful white sofas, and an expanse of decking perfect for holding up the large number of tables at which to enjoy the bar’s ever popular menu. Also on offer is the 100-capacity back room, which has hosted many a debaucherous private party over the years alongside long- standing promotions and workers events. Sure to be popular for years to come, head on down and enjoy a long lazy dinner, a few shots of Hierbas or a messy back room rave. A classic.
ViVa WEST END With a somewhat cult-like reputation amongst the working crowd, Viva — located at the top of the West End — is not only the place to meet up with mates, but also a sure-fire addition to a messy San An night out. The cheap-as- chips drinks, party focused music and ridiculously friendly atmosphere have seen the bar survive where others have failed throughout many Ibizan seasons.
PLAYA D’EN BOSSA
Bora Bora PLAYA D’EN BOSSA Having long been the favourite stop-off before the massive parties at Bossa- based nightclub Space, Bora Bora more than holds its own as a prime party spot in this more holiday-focused resort. Backing out onto the huge beach and boasting residents like house favourite Oliver Lang, Bora Bora’s quintessential Balearic party vibe survived the recent daytime party ban the council imposed and the bar still draws in both the

hardcore rave and chilled out hippy crowds en masse.
saNds PLAYA D’EN BOSSA Setting up camp in 2009 a little further down the beachfront, Sands has fast become a popular setting for pre/after/ during parties that run at all hours. Home this year to London after-party night Kubicle and more than a few label parties along the way, the bar supplies sumptuous white outdoor beds, chilled sofas and sunloungers on which to sample the high standard food and drink menus. We predict a very promising season ahead.
usHuaia PLAYA D’EN BOSSA When this newbie kicks off, it churns up a vibe reminiscent of the early DC10 days; a close-knit, party hard crowd complimented with DJs such as Luciano (for his own Cadenza night on Sundays) and an expensive but gold standard bar menu. Spend many a sizzled day coming round on the sunbeds, then head inside for the evening lift off. We expect big things…
OFF THE BEATEN TRACK
aura CARRETERIA SAN JUAN This swanky tapas jaunt located near the village of San Juan brings in celebrities, DJs, industry leaders and European big spenders alike, and has over time become the ideal spot for exclusive after-parties from the island’s big players… Still relatively new in Ibizan terms, Aura heads into its sixth season in 2010. It has a cocktail selection that could rival any of the longstanding bars on the island, and a unique and sultry interior theme that provides the perfect backdrop in which to flash some cash.
Blue MarliN CALA JONDAL Located next to the beautiful beach Cala Jondal, Blue Marlin easily upholds its reputation as one of the most visually stunning bars on the island. Its huge terraced area drops down into the sea, with a view complimented by some serious yachts (while their seriously loaded owners bask at the expanse of sunbeds and tables laid out for them). The huge open-plan decked area also features a small boutique, a couple of different bars, amazing food and the essential set of CDJs, and though definitely on the pricey side, it’s well worth a special little jaunt to soak up the stunning setting and blissful atmosphere.
