rapers Airgun Centre has been accused of glamorising guns. The famous retailer, which has been trading in Nottingham since 1975, has become the target of what can only be described as a snowfl ake twitter campaign – which was picked up and reported on by BBC East Midlands. Kieron Thompson, a youth

News broke of the fake letter on social media, causing outrage from the shooting community that licensing information had been made public. However, BASC has since been contacted by the recipient of the bogus police letter and it has been discovered that the letter was sent by a family member as a prank. The police have been made aware. BASC would like to make it clear that the recipient’s details were known to the author of the letter. No databases have been breached, and advises members to remain vigilant to potential scam letters and to report any that appear suspicious.
