The New Eagle X in nickel and blue now available from SMK.

S

portsmarketing continues to show massive growth in the blank fi ring market. The company struck a deal with Turkish brand, Retay, as reported in February, and since then sales growth has gone through the roof.

“We underestimated how popular

blank fi ring pistols would be and are,” says SMK’s sales director, John Nash. “Sales have been brisk – and with the new line up of blank fi rers from Retay they will only get stronger.” Retay was founded in 2006 with a mission to set a new standard of excellence in the Turkish fi rearms industry. The brand has established a solid reputation worldwide with innovative designs, quality craftsmanship and industry leading products. The products are designed and manufactured using the most sophisticated modern techniques, machines and materials available, employing a dynamic, skilled workforce including talented teams of designers, engineers, and craftsmen who take pride in producing world- class products for their customers to enjoy.

John continues: “These new pistols

are replicas of their airgun/airsoft counter parts, are full metal with plastic grips, some are Cerakote, which is a industry leading thin fi lm ceramic coating that makes the blue colour and not painted. “The full range shows these realistic pistols in a chrome, nickel and satin fi nish and they can be stripped down.

42 | Tackle & Guns | June 2019

They are individually serial numbered and come in the full hard case with egg shaped foam inside.” Most of the range fi re 9mm PAK or

8MM PAK and are historically used to signal the start of races. As blank fi rers look, operate and feel almost exactly like a real gun, they are a great start when training a person on proper gun handling. The police, military and hunters use them to train dogs so they remain calm around loud noise, getting used to the presence of guns and even how to attack a person with a gun who could be a potential threat. Blank fi rers make perfect stage props since they again look and sound realistic without the bullets fl ying all over the place.

The full Retay range, including all

blank fi rers, shotguns and airguns, is available in the UK and is in the SMK Summer Brochure, available from the 1st June. For your copy and trade dealer pack, please contact their sales team directly on; John Nash
