Old Ghost – The Return can now cater for the
hinese bait firm Old Ghost is returning to the UK thanks to a new supply chain set to deliver promptly and directly to the UK. The firm ran into problems during its first attempt in 2013 as it simply could not supply due to a spikes in demand in China. John Watson, managing
director of the Old Ghost UK subsidiary, told T&G: “Demand from the Chinese domestic market quite literally outstripped all supply and left us with no products to sell back at all.
“The company has now invested $65 million on a new facility in China which
Chinese market and the European market.” T&G believes that Old Ghost will return in style. “The infrastructure is now all in place and we are making big plans for the future. Watch this space!” adds John.
Old Ghost has a 70% market share of the rapidly expanding Chinese domestic bait market – where there are currently an estimated 90 million anglers.
