3 Every CO2 pistol is tested several
times during its production. The parts are manufactured from zinc-alloy in die-casting, and undergo several stages of production and assembly. As the parts are assembled, they are passed between workstations where they are thoroughly tested before the next piece is added. Once fully assembled, the final testing stages involve the pistol being placed into a special device with a compressed air connection instead of CO2
. Here, the machine automatically shoots one 8-shot magazine with pellets into a backstop to measure the velocity. If it’s not within acceptable limits, the pistol goes back to the table to have its valve adjusted until Umarex is happy with the consistency and the level of velocity. At the same time, the safety of each pistol is thoroughly checked for correct operation. After the velocity test, the pistol is fired on a 10 metre range using the pistol’s open sights to test for accuracy. Again, if any pistol fails any stage, it is returned to the workshop to be adjusted. No Beretta M92 FS pistol leaves the factory without Umarex being completely satisfied with its performance.

Another great Beretta product manufactured in Germany by Umarex is the Beretta CX4 Storm air rifle. Launched in 2007, this CO2
-rifle
packs some really innovative features including 30-shot chain magazine (for pellets or BBs) and blowback effect which also cycles the chain magazine for the next shot and cocks the striker. In UK models, the Beretta CX4 Storm has a smooth barrel to comply with Firearms laws. The CX4 Storm can be powered either by 88g CO2
or with 12g CO2 capsules using
a special adaptor. The Beretta CX4 Storm XT kit is a popular model in the UK, containing rifle, 4x32 Scope and Mount, QSB Bipod, Accessory rail and silencer.
