The Year title holder has been with the brand since 2012 and will continue to be part of its consultancy team, playing an expanded role in both behind-the- scene development of tackle and on-the-bank ambassadorial duties. Full-time angling coach Andy, who has twice been voted ‘coach of the year’ in the national press, has gained a reputation as not only being one of the best anglers in the UK but is also one of the most well-liked faces in UK angling, known for his trademark catchphrase ‘Ooosh!’. MAP’s marketing manager, Pat MacInnes, told T&G: “Andy is without doubt an asset to the
brand. His personality, angling prowess and ability to compete at the highest level makes him a unique signing and one that we feel epitomises MAP as it continues to grow in popularity.” Andy currently heads up an online video series, produced by MAP, named ‘Challenge Andy, which sees regular anglers pitch a challenge of a head-to-head match at their home water. The series has garnered more than 125,000 views on Youtube and is part of MAP’s larger online video content offering, which also included tuition from former- Fish ‘O’ Mania Champion Jamie Hughes, England International James Dent and commercial ace Tony Curd.

Dynamite Baits gives boost to Rapala sales

lobal tackle giant Rapala, owner of Dynamite Baits, has announced its fi rst quarter results. Net sales for the fi rst three months of 2017 were ¤69.6 million. Rapala’s president and CEO Jussi Ristimäki, said: “The positive highlights of the period included
