Massive IVECO investment great news for operators
FLEETS can now access the widest ever range of ready-bodied IVECO trucks from dealer forecourts nationwide, following investment by IVECO of more than £11.5 million in growing the DriveAway line-up beyond the traditional 3.5 and 7.5 tonne models.
DriveAway is designed to help operators get new vehicles on the road almost immediately, and the expansion sees IVECO off er bodies for everything from general haulage and temperature controlled distribution, to construction, demolition and waste.
Available truck body types now include boxes, curtains, dropsides, reefers, skip loaders, hook loaders, tippers, tipper grabs and sweepers – on vehicles plated at up to 32 tonnes.
As well as investing in a fl eet of bodied vehicles which are available throughout the dealer network, IVECO has committed to keeping new chassis at key bodybuilding partners - to enable sold units to be replenished quickly.
Stuart Webster, IVECO UK & ROI Business Director, said: “We are expanding the IVECO DriveAway range to ensure we can off er fl eets shorter delivery times, coupled with lower costs and higher residual values. Our launch models have been specifi cally chosen to suit sectors where new assets can often be required at short notice, such as when a new contract comes in and the work starts almost immediately.
Two-year unlimited mileage warranty
“With DriveAway, fi rms need only liaise with their local dealer, instead of co-ordinating separately with bodybuilders and ancillary equipment providers. New vehicles can be purchased on one invoice and often driven away or delivered on the same day.
“Plus there’s a comprehensive two-year unlimited mileage warranty covering the body and chassis – and none of the hassles surrounding Whole Vehicle Type Approval.”
IVECO has engaged some of the best bodybuilders in the industry to drive the success of its DriveAway range, with the expanded range of truck bodies being built by fi rms including Abba, Boughton, Boweld, Brit-Tipp, HIAB, Hyva, JC Payne, Johnston, Kel-berg and Paneltex.
All IVECO DriveAway truck models off er customers the advantage of being able to meet emissions standards with a single anti- emission system – IVECO’s HI-SCR technology. HI-SCR utilises passive regeneration of the diesel particulate fi lter (DPF) and means productivity for the fl eet owner and driver is increased, as the system requires neither driver involvement nor downtime from active regeneration.
