PREVIEW 2017 Hall 5, stand S80-T81

City of London trialling VOPS™2 from VWS

VEHICLE Weighing Solutions Ltd (VWS), will return to RWM for the tenth year running after an award-winning period.

VWS’s bin-weighing system ENVIROWEIGH continues to be the market leader and most widely-adopted amongst prominent waste management companies and authorities across the UK.

Julian Glasspole, VWS Managing Director, said: “The RWM show provides us with an excellent opportunity to rub shoulders with industry counterparts, and meet existing and potential customers.”

The ENVIROWEIGH system now works in harmony with the VWS’s PurGo waste management software and operators.

The system provides full monitoring and complete traceability and improves effi ciency, safety, and customer service.

The new simplifi ed version, PurGo Lite is proving popular with operators who do not wish to change their entire processing systems but still need to record and transmit weight data from every lift, automatically to a web portal.

The VOPS™2 (Vehicle Overload Protection System) from VWS was recognised as a “vital safety resource” by the judges of the Van Fleet World Honours this year, which was presented with the Innovation in Safety Award. The VOPS™2 is widely being adopted by both the public and private sector fl eet operators – with the City of London Corporation currently trialling the

technology on one of the city’s tipper vehicles, with a view to installing it to the entire fl eet.

VOPS™2 has been recognised for its contribution to vehicle safety in relation to overloading and serious consequences, which leads to fi nes, endorsements or even a custodial sen- tence in the event of an accident. Operators who overload put their O licence at risk.
