of the engineering team.” Andigestion’s Holsworthy site currently recycles approximately 70,000 tonnes of the county’s household and commercial food waste to produce enough clean, green and eco-friendly electricity to supply 10,000 homes.
The valuable by-product of this process (an environmentally-friendly liquid fertiliser), is used by local farmers in place of carbon-intensive mineral fertilisers.
Andigestion also offers a ‘Wheelie Bin’ food waste collection service throughout Devon, which enables businesses large and small – such as restaurants, cafés, hotels, schools and colleges - to dispose of their food waste in a sustainable and eco-friendly way.
The company also has a site in Bishop’s Cleeve near Cheltenham, Gloucestershire.
Three siblings jailed at Portmadog waste company
Following a public enquiry, Traffic Commissioner, Nick Jones revoked their commercial vehicle operating licences, including their father’s. As a result, all owners of the now-closed company are banned from running heavy goods vehicles.
Although retired, 90-year-old Mr Gaff ey

Nick Jones said: “It is regrettable that I have to make such an unpleasant order. However, his children have only themselves to blame.”
