RWM 2017 – focused on One Planet Living

Taking place from 12-14 September 2017 in partnership with the Chartered Institution of Wastes Management (CIWM), the RWM show is the innovation and networking event for the Waste, Energy, Recycling and Water sectors – in fact, the chances are you’re one of the those attending the Show!
Planning for the 2017 show started in earnest as soon as the 2016 event closed. This year combines the previously co-located Energy, Water, Renewables and RWM events – an expansion that refl ects the merging and overlapping business opportunities in these sectors.

The expanded RWM 2017 boasts a host of new and revamped features, including new dedicated Event Zones, the RWM Connects meetings service, new Visitor Discovery Trails, the CIWM Clinic, and Innovation City – all carefully planned to touch on key points of exhibitor and visitor feedback from previous shows. A central aim was to increase the level of innovation on show at the 2017 event.

As such, the RWM team also launched a national call for innovators interested in the circular economy concept to take part in a technology hackathon at the event, with a £7k prize on off er for the best concept. Five teams will be selected to pitch for the prize at the fi nal at RWM on 13 September.
As well as hosting over 450 exhibitors showcasing cutting-edge technology, equipment and services designed to improve effi ciency across these interlinked sectors, RWM 2017 off ers outstanding opportunities to network and gather advice from leading experts, and share knowledge through the comprehensive three- day seminar programme boasting high profi le and infl uential speakers.

EXHIBITION EDITION
Again, planning for the speaker programme began well in advance of the show, as many high-profi le fi gures from the public and private sectors have diaries booked up years in advance. But all the 2017 speakers jumped at the chance to participate in this infl uential show, with keynote highlights at RWM 2017 including Rt Hon Greg Hands MP, Minister of State for Trade & Investment, who will speak on 13 September in the Circular Economy Connect Theatre about innovation and investment.
After a year of dramatic political, social and environmental changes, RWM 2017 promises meaningful debate over the policies and strategies impacting the Energy, Recycling and Water industries by senior fi gures from across the public and private sectors.
