Terry Lampe Searching for Security A sk Terry Lampe who has been the most

influential role model in his life and he will quickly tell you it’s his father, Larry. Terry especially attributes his personal work ethic to him.

“When I was about 13, I wanted a mini bike. My dad told me I’d have to go to work to earn it,” Larry said. “So I went to work for my dad and my uncle in the masonry business. And because I wanted that mini bike, I ended up being a bricklayer for about 28 years.”

Following a lengthy career in the masonry business, Terry became tired of the feast or famine cycles in the brick laying industry. Due to seasonal changes, he would only work six months of the year and would be laid off during the winter months. He knew there had to be a better way to support his family and began to look for a job that would provide year-round employment so he could experience the security of a consistent income.

He saw an Express Employment Professionals advertisement in the local newspaper. Terry answered the ad and, almost immediately, Express found him a full-time job with a

manufacturing company, where Terry worked for three and a half years building hydraulic systems for bleachers. When the manufacturing company began cutting back hours, he was laid off. Fortunately, Express quickly responded and helped him find another job within a week.

Terry currently serves as a warehouse lead for another manufacturing firm. He’s been with this company for four and a half years and has proven to be one of their most reliable employees, and an indispensable part of their team.

“My goal is to continue to work my way up with this company so I have more security,” Terry said. “I love my job and enjoy going in every day but I also know that if something happened Express would find me another position. I thank Express for helping me find a new career and a path to economic security.”

When he is not working, his hobbies include target shooting, traveling, and restoring old cars. Terry is especially proud of a 1931 Desoto two-door coupe, which he has converted into a street rod.

My goal is to continue to work my way up with this company so I have more security.
