Insight SUZO-HAPP/TRANSACT TECH A PERFECT PARTNERSHIP FOR A PERFECT SOLUTION
The teaming of Suzo-Happ and TransAct Technologies is the perfect combination to bring the attributes of Epicentral to market
Suzo-Happ is the global leader to the gaming industry for spare parts and components. Suzo- Happ has development departments around the world, constantly looking to bring new innovations to market. The large manufacturing site in China has enough capacity to adapt to increased demand for new solutions. Suzo-Happ acts as master distributor and increasingly as exclusive distributor for a number of industry greats. The ‘best-in-class’ product range from A to Z of gaming requirements is provided with a dedicated service with a multi-lingual sales and support team in Europe.
Harald Wagemaker leads the EMEA sales team as Executive Vice President Sales & Marketing of Gaming and Casino EMEA. The team spends a great deal of time visiting customers and indeed has created a structure to best serve the market.
2014 was an exciting year with much growth both internally and via acquisition. 2015 promises to be at least as exciting as 2014. The new year will begin with Suzo-Happ officially becoming the exclusive distributor for TransAct Technologies for Europe as well, so completing the global map. As a leading supplier of engineered component solutions for gaming customers worldwide and with a European sales and marketing team of over 70 professionals with offices in seven European countries, Suzo-Happ is uniquely positioned to further enhance TransAct’s distribution network in the European marketplace.
The Epic 950 printer from TransAct is the perfect solution for ticket-in, ticket-out (TITO) applications. Currently installed in over half a million slots in casinos throughout the world, its success stands out significantly in Europe. For example, the Italian VLT (video lottery terminal) market and the British FOBT (fixed-off betting terminal) market use TransAct printers exclusively. These two markets are probably the largest markets for TITO printers in the industry - the fact that both use only TransAct printers speaks to TransAct’s commitment to unsurpassed product quality and customer support.
The beauty of the Epic 950® is not only its proven reliability and ease of integration but also the almost limitless marketing possibilities. Tickets and vouchers can become eye-catching branding tools when used to deliver personalized

promotional coupons and bonuses. To ensure consistent delivery of the coupon the 950 employs its patented TicketBurst™ technology, making sure each ticket is dispensed perfectly each and every time – thus eliminating any ticket or player interference.
The Epic 950 can be complemented to include Epicentral, TransAct’s software system that

prints targeted promotions and bonuses right at the slot machine, directly to the player. Connected directly to TransAct’s ServerPort device inside the slot machine, Epicentral drives increased revenue and an enhanced customer experience. Epicentral also has the ability to connect to all existing slot machines, regardless of manufacturer, so compatibility with a property’s current slot floor is never an issue.
Players are rewarded with tickets (defined by the casino operator) that offer a world of possibilities, such as bonus spins, free food or show tickets. Direct marketing doesn’t get any more direct.
An especially compelling coupon or voucher can have an overwhelmingly positive effect. It could, for instance, persuade customers to visit the casino on a more frequent basis. For example, in
the United States the BlueWater Resort and Casino in Arizona saw a 27% increase in new club enrollments in the first two months of using the Epicentral promotion/bonusing system (as compared to the previous six month average). Today well over 10,500 slot machines across 11 casinos are running Epicentral – a number that is quickly growing.
The first casino in Europe to introduce Epicentral was The Hippodrome in London. The Epicentral Hippodrome results speak for themselves –in the first 90 days after installing Epicentral, management at the Hippodrome Casino registered a 60 per cent increase in players club registrations, a 37 per cent average increase in weekday afternoon slot handle and a 14 per cent increase player average time on device. What’s more, food and drink promotional coupons naturally have had a positive effect on the bars and restaurant. Due to Epicentral’s unparalled flexibility casinos can choose any number of different promotions to run concurrently. At present, The Hippodrome is running six simultaneous coupon promotions.
Harald Wagemaker sums up the major opportunities that casinos can make use of with the Epic 950 and Epicentral, “The results from Epicentral are extremely convincing. This is a true win-win for both the operator and the player. That explains why we are so keen to really focus on Epicentral in 2015. Our dedicated sales and service team has excellent connections with casinos throughout Europe and we deeply believe in the value of Epicentral. ICE will be an ideal opportunity for the European Suzo-Happ team to introduce the Epic 950 and Epicentral to our customers.”
