Bradford, PA — KOA Speer Elec - tronics has introduced its TLR2BP current sense resistor with a 1.5W power rating in a 1206 package. The TLR2BP is a metal plate resistor that provides excellent dimensional accuracy and low height with a thick- ness as low as 0.6 mm (0.024 in.). In addition, it offers superior corrosion and heat resistance with an operat- ing temperature of –65 to +170°C (–85 to +338°F). KOA Speer’s TLR2BP resistor
has low TCR available down to ±50 ppm/°C with resistance tolerance of ±1 percent. The TLR2BP is offered in resistance values of 1 mW up to 20 mW and is AEC-Q200 qualified. Used primarily for current
detection, the TLR2BP current sense resistors are suitable for use in transportation, industrial, telecom- munications, and consumer electron-
ics markets in applications such as personal computing devices, DC-DC conversion, automotive modules,

Laser Research Optics Intros Sapphire Cover Windows
Only NorCom optical leak technology detects both gross and fine leaks in hermetically sealed packages, this fast. Instead of using multiple technologies
and processes, you can leak test virtually any type of package with one high-speed system. The NorCom 2020™
series inspects hermetically sealed components to
MIL-STD 883 requirements either in seam seal trays, or when already mounted to circuits boards and assemblies. It automatically rejects failed devices, and reports the leak rate for each part, eliminating “divide and conquer”leak testing.

Providence, RI — Laser Research Optics, a division of Meller Optics, has released a line of sapphire cover glass windows and lenses for industrial cut- ting lasers that are reportedly more durable than fused silica, reducing the need for cover glass changes. The company’s sapphire fiber
laser windows have a Mohs hardness rating of 9, which is second only to diamond, and have A/R coatings on both sides to provide transmission of greater than 99.5 percent at 1.06µ, with greater than 90 percent at 650- 670 nm. Suitable for use as shields on 1064 nm cutting lasers, these highly-polished sapphire windows are capable of withstanding steel splatter, flash and debris. Available in sizes from 0.5 to 2 in. (12.7 to 50.8 mm), the windows have a 10-5 scratch-dig finish and provide a 1/4 wave transmitted wavefront. Sap -
