certified TPE material, these custom assemblies are useful for harsh moisture environ- ments. The TPE housing material is fused to the TPE lead wire insulation during the over-molding process which creates a moisture- proof seal between the probe housing and the lead wire insulation. Depending on application requirements, these custom thermistor assemblies can have an accu- racy as high as ±0.2°C over 0- 70°C or a tolerance of ±1-10 percent. In specific applications such as NSF or medical, FDA-approved TPE material can be supplied. Custom assemblies are pro-

Perry, OH — TT Electronics has launched a zero ohm resistor designed for making optional connections on PCB assemblies. The LRZ0603 is a compact 6A zero ohm resistor and is available in surface-mount ceramic chip format. The resistor is aimed at design -

The zero ohm resistor is used for making optional connecting points on a PCB, allowing a common PCB to be used for multiple product variants, saving on design time and inventory. The


value is close to the ideal zero ohm characteristic with negligible voltage drop, and its low internal thermal impedance minimizes heating in the assembly, improving reliability and reducing field failures. The LRZ0603 uses a copper


material to achieve low residual resistance and low internal thermal impedance. A thick-film copper con- ductive element is screen printed onto a 96 percent alumina substrate, resulting in far higher current rat- ings for a given footprint. Its wrap- around copper terminations have an electroplated nickel barrier and a sol- derable coating, which provides
