Master Bond’s Silicone Meets NASA Outgassing Specs
Hackensack, NJ — Designed for use in a vacuum, Master Bond’s Master- Sil 973S-LO is an adhesive, sealant and coating that meets NASA low- outgassing requirements. The elec- trically conductive, two-component silicone can be used in the aerospace, electronic, opto-electronic and spe- cialty OEM industries.

MasterSil 973S-LO low-outgassing adhesive. With a low volume resistivity,
the adhesive is a silver-filled com- pound that bonds well to a wide vari- ety of substrates, including metals, composites, glass, ceramics, rubbers, and many types of plastics. As is typ- ical of most silicones, 973S-LO is highly-flexible with an elongation of 50-100 percent. This allows it to withstand thermal cycling and me- chanical shock. The adhesive can be used in temperatures from 120 to 400°F (49 to 204°C). MasterSil 973S-LO demon- strates paste consistency with mini-
tures, including 25-45 minutes at 250 to 300°F (121 to 149°C) or 1-2 hours at 160 to 200°F (71 to 93°C). The material is available in 50g
(1.8 oz) syringe kits and additional sizes can be requested. The material has a shelf life of six months at 75°F (24°C) in its original, unopened con-
