BUSINESS REPORT

CENTENARY CELEBRATION

Northamptonshire Chamber of Commerce is inviting members to take part in a year of special events to commemorate its centenary. The Chamber was launched

in 1917 in response to concerns from local boot and shoe manufacturers about exports during the First World War. Along with its sister

Chamber, Milton Keynes Chamber of Commerce, it is now the 10th largest Chamber in the country and its members employ more than one third of Northamptonshire’s workforce. During 2017, the Chamber

will be alerting members to a range of activities they can take part in, including 100 activities in 100 days which will be launched in May with a special event at Barton Hall. There will be presentations

to members who are celebrating their own landmark anniversaries with the organisation and members will be invited to take part in a promotional campaign to mark the centenary.
