EXPORT ROADSHOW DRIVES INTO TOWN


Businesses from across the county took part in an informative roadshow about exporting and trading outside the EU. The Exporting outside the EU


roadshow was organised and sponsored by Trade and Export Finance Limited. It visited the Northamptonshire Chamber of Commerce at the end of last year. The event included sessions by a


variety of experts, including American-born lawyer Jonathan Strassberg who uses his extensive experience on both sides of the Atlantic to help UK companies overcome some of the legal hurdles of trading with the USA.

More than a dozen exporters and importers attended Northamptonshire Chamber of Commerce’s second International Trade Forum. The event, which was sponsored by Knights of Old, gave businesses


the chance to focus on trade finance and entering foreign markets. Paul Griffiths, Northamptonshire Chamber of Commerce chief


executive, said: “Chamber of Commerce international trade manager, said: “These trade forums are for members and offer the chance for open discussion with selected relevant experts on a range of topics. “So far we have looked at electronics in the Middle East, trade


finance and entering foreign markets and our last event included a very lively discussion.” The speakers who attended the latest event were Department for


International Trade Area Manager Jane Waldron, Santander UK plc International Director Paul Woollard and moneycorp Regional Sales Manager Andy Medler.
