TRAINING FIRM GOES ABOVE AND BEYOND
An independent training and development consultancy has expanded its services to offer a one- stop-shop for business improvement through high quality people development. Beyond Theory provides leadership and management and customer service excellence training and coaching. It works with over 20 companies and has expanded its team since its launch in 2012. Beyond Theory director and senior consultant Paul
Beesley said: “Our services have increased beyond leadership training and now include employee engagement strategies to complement our customer service improvement programmes. “We develop long-term relationships with our clients
and have worked with many for over three years. “We provide employee engagement surveys and will
expand into customer feedback surveys this year. Our recognised expertise in training has been joined by our employee data analytics service where we correlate key management information to create business intelligence. Based at Derngate Mews, Northampton, the
company works predominantly with SMEs, but also has larger corporate clients in Northamptonshire, Dorset, Cambridgeshire, Nottingham and Norfolk. Paul, who is a judge for the UK Customer Experience
Awards and UK Employee Experience Awards, added: “We develop bespoke solutions based on clients’ needs and the latest research from sources such as the Chartered Institute of Personnel & Development, Engage for Success and the Harvard Business Review.

BENEFITS OF APPRENTICES
A firm of business development specialists has expanded its numbers by hiring several digital marketing apprentices. The Last Hurdle was launched five years ago and helps other businesses to become more successful through traditional sales and marketing, social media and digital marketing strategies. Owner Jules White said:
“We have been recruiting apprentices for about three- and-a-half years and we have found the experience to be very beneficial. “With an apprentice you get
to mould someone to your business. We spend time teaching them how we would like them to represent themselves in a business environment and then we teach them about strategic things. “As they develop we
encourage them to put their own creative suggestions forward and as a relatively small company we have the scope to develop their natural talents.”
