Hidden on the edge of an enclosed bay amongst lush Mediterranean gardens, Phokaia Beachclub is a stone’s throw from the sand and shingle beach. With a good size sailing area, crystal clear water and steady winds it’s great for sailing and windsurfing. The water skiing’s ace too!
Away from the beach, the pool with its daybeds and space to lounge is definitely the place to be and the beach bar is the best spot in the house to take in the beautiful sunsets.
All bedrooms and bathrooms have a fresh new look following a recent makeover and we're giving you a little extra with club board plus; local spirits, house wine, beer and soft drinks are now included every day.
The local area It’s not far to the local town of Foca. Take a stroll along the harbour, lined with fishing boats and fishermen tending to their boats or selling the days haul. There’s a real buzz in the air. The streets are lined with old Ottoman-Greek houses, open-air restaurants, a good selection of shops and a great weekly market.
Further afield is the world famous site of Ephesus. Full of many fascinating excavations, the ancient city of Ephesus was added to the UNESCO World Heritage List in 2015.
Activities on the water The sailing bay is large and the lie of the land means that it’s quite enclosed. Even though it’s windy, the water remains quite flat most of the time. It’s a great playground for all water sports. Sailors and windsurfers, if you’re looking for more of a challenge, the conditions further out of the bay are
just the ticket. Experienced sailors are in for a treat, for a supplement you can sail one of our high performance RS dinghies, with instructors on hand to help with rigging, launching and landing.
Don’t forget, you can also have a go at stand up paddle boarding, kayaking, water skiing and wakeboarding.
Activities on the shore There are four tennis courts and inclusive coaching from our team of pros. You’ll soon be smashing your previous best shots. The end of week tournament is the perfect place to put all you’ve learnt to the test. The local area does not have the best terrain for mountain biking, but the road biking is good. Get some miles under your belt and enjoy the buzz of the road on one of the guided rides.
