You’ll find Alana Beachclub in a beautiful spot between the turquoise waters of the Adriatic Sea and the towering peaks of the Paklenica National Park. The central tower is a local landmark, it has a fabulous new roof-top cocktail bar with stunning, panoramic views out to sea and is a great place to watch the sun set.

It’s just great for all the usual Neilson activities with a large sailing bay and six tennis courts, there's a climbing wall at the beachclub, or you can go rock climbing in the national park. We’re planning to spruce up the beachclub with some landscaping in the gardens and a completely new restaurant and terrace in a great spot close to the water’s edge. The beach bar will also have a new look and the fitness facilities will have a new and improved home.

The local area Take a stroll from the beachclub along the seafront promenade to the local village of Starigrad. It’s relaxed and easy going, with a handful of restaurants, overlooking the water. The gate to the Paklenica National Park is just two kilometers from the beachclub and an absolute must-see. Slightly further away, the beautiful, walled port of Zadar is a thirty-minute drive away and well worth a visit. Take a walk around the historic centre, where Roman ruins stand alongside Venetian inspired churches

Activities on the water Launch from the pebble beach into the large sailing bay. With very few other water users, it’s yours to enjoy to the max. Most afternoons there’s a good cross on-shore breeze, beginner and intermediate sailors and windsurfers will be in their element. Grab a stand up paddle board or kayak and glide along the coastline of the clear blue Adriatic. If water skiing and wakeboarding is more your thing, you’ll love the large bay and super flat mornings.

Activities on the shore Pack your hiking boots and your head for heights! Join us in the Paklenica National Park, where clearly marked paths take you on a number of unforgettable hikes. Get the adrenaline pumping, for a little extra you can pre-book and join us for some exhilarating rock climbing in the national park (one of the most famous free climbing sites in Europe). There's also a climbing wall with instruction at the beachclub which is an inclusive activity.

The mountain biking is aimed at beginner to intermediate level. Routes skirt the base of the national park, mainly on gravelly fire roads.

For tennis fans there are six new courts towards the rear of the beachclub. There’s an air-conditioned indoor fitness area with views across the pool and gardens towards the sea. There’s also an outdoor area where some of the classes will take place.
