There’s a few bits and bobs which we don’t include in your holiday, such as mooring fees. If you do need to pay it’s usually just a few Euros per night.
Take a little more time to soak up the beauty of the hugely popular south Ionian. Expect plenty of jaw-dropping views, beautiful vistas, sparkling blue seas and sunshine all day long. You’ll be sailing to authentic Greek towns and traditional fishing villages, some of which can only be reached by water. Some not-to-be-missed highlights of this flotilla include Fiscardo, Ithaca and Meganissi.
Your flotilla route This flotilla route will give you a flavour of what to expect from your week on flotilla. The route is not fixed however and may vary from that listed below (nm = nautical miles).
Sunday – Vounaki Beachclub Get settled on your boat and receive briefing from the crew (from 5pm).
Monday – Vathi (Meganissi) – 8nm Sail to this picturesque inlet with charming tavernas and restaurants.
Tuesday – Kalamos – 15nm Tightly packed houses on the slopes down to the harbour give you some wonderful photo opportunities.
Wednesday – Kastos – 5nm Just 8km long, enjoy a handful of tavernas and plenty of pretty picture perfect scenes.
Thursday – Frikes – 15nm
On Ithaca, this beautiful, secluded spot is home to some wonderful restaurants.
Friday – Vathi (Ithaca) – 9nm Explore the capital of Ithaca and the largest village on the island.
Saturday & Sunday – Freesail
Monday– Agio Euphemia A very small town, worth a visit for its handful of delicious restaurants.
Tuesday – Fiscardo – 12 nm Mingle with the rich and famous. This town is known all over the world due to the book and film set here, Captain Corelli’s Mandolin.
Wednesday – Vassiliki – 11nm On the southern coast of Lefkas island, Vassiliki has a pretty village extending around the harbour.
Thursday – Sivota – 9nm You’ll sail further around the coastline of Lefkas to Sivota. Set in an enclosed bay with crystal waters.
Friday – Spartahori – 7nm Sitting high above Spilia Bay on the northern side of Meganissi.
Saturday – Vounaki – 15nm You’ll be heading back to base. There’s plenty of time for exploring on the way, as yachts don’t need to be back at Vounaki ‘till 6pm.
Day 15 Sunday – Departure day Yacht check out time is 9:30am. Depending on flight times and your energy levels you may want to try some of the beachclub activities (small supplement).
