“U3A” in concert on 26th June at 8pm – Sponsored by Dragon Insurance, Benitachell.

T.M. Lions are delighted to welcome back U3A as the band to "kick off" this year's season of free summer concerts at the seafront in Moraira.

Last year's concert was the first occasion on which U3A had performed at one of T.M. Lions' fund-raising events and, although the Club knew that the band enjoyed a large and loyal local following, they were, for T.M. Lions, something of an unknown quantity - until, that is, they began to play on that stage at the seafront and all the Lions lucky enough to be there were genuinely blown away by the quality of the performance.

The guys who make up U3A don't leap about the stage (indeed, some of them barely move at all (!)) they just produce really great music from a repertoire which is as rich as it is varied, covering primarily golden classics of rock 'n' roll from the 50s, 60s and 70s with, from time to time, a little bit of blues thrown into the mix: for example, last year's mouth-watering playlist included such all time favourites as "Woolly Bully", "Jumping Jack Flash", "Money Money", "Proud Mary", "Honky Tonk Woman", "You Ain't Seen Nothin' Yet" and "Mustang Sally".

Those of you who were at last year's U3A Concert at the seafront will know exactly what a treat is in store. To those of you who weren't there, DON'T MISS OUT THIS TIME AROUND!

This concert is generously sponsored by Dragon Insurance, Benitachell, to whom T.M. Lions extend their grateful thanks and appreciation.

NB Admission to all T.M. Lions Summer Concerts in Moraira is free but Teulada- Moraira Lions' Club Members will be there in their distinctive yellow tops to raise funds for their community work and various charitable projects by “rattling buckets” and asking for donations from the audience - PLEASE DO GIVE GENEROUSLY.
