Founded in April 2012 by its Musical Director Joanna Baldwin, Music Unlimited is a small but carefully selected group of singers who meet on Saturday mornings to learn and sing beautiful music, which they then share with others through concerts, special events and celebrations.
As their name suggests, their repertoire is extremely varied and ranges from 15th and 16th century polyphony, motets and madrigals, through sacred anthems,
folk music, spirituals and
close harmony, to modern pop songs. The singers, now firm friends who enjoy sharing each other’s company as well as making music together, would like to feel that no song or style of music should be overlooked or excluded.
They have given numerous concerts in a range of churches... Rafol d’Almunia, Alcalali, Pedreguer and the churches of La Vall de Laguar, (the Musical Director’s home turf), and have also sung at weddings, first communions and other special events, such as the Pedreguer Organ Festival.
June Concert On Saturday, June 4th at 7pm, the choir will present a short concert ¨Champagne for the Soul¨ in the Ermita del Popul. This beautiful little church is located at the KM4 marker on the Jávea to Jesús Pobre road, CV 735.
The programme will include a variety of musical styles and the concert will be followed by a cava and canapés reception al fresco.
A donation of 10€ will reserve a seat for this special event and all proceeds will go to support the work of the Anglican Chaplaincy on the Costa Blanca.
