Home & Garden A Fine Vintage
Unfortunately for the wine lovers of you out there this is not an article about wine. I am merely trying to give a sensation of what I believe my company now is and is becoming.

I have always been involved in design, three dimensional design and construction from a very young age. My parents built our family home and I can recall many a weekend where my dad would have me and my two brothers mixing mortar by hand on the garage floor. I was always brought up to understand and think about things and how they work and function together. My grandfather had his own metal work company, where I remember going as a young boy and him showing me how they would make, and even repair, shoddy work from other companies to make it micrometre perfect.
As I evolved through my pathways in education and working for my uncle’s building company, where we achieved multiple awards for our work with renovations, I have always appreciated having a creative mind and having a family that was creative in this way. There was one job where 3 generations and 6 members of the same family worked together, pooling each other’s specialist areas into practice.
I specialised in design and have always loved working with things and spaces that people interact with. I then found my ideal job working for one of the most prestigious landscaping companies in the UK. I didn’t really see this as a job, it was something I enjoyed doing, been able to create a landscape or a garden space from something that could sometimes seem the very opposite, and although at times it could be challenging I really felt like working for this company was a badge of honour for me. I also enjoyed working for them as I was the only person on the landscape team, who from time to time would be drafted into the office for my drawing skills. As you can imagine we worked at some of the most spectacular homes in the UK creating some of the most wonderful gardens, spaces that are truly jaw dropping, and during my time of working with them we also did two gardens at the Chelsea Flower Show. The show was an amazing thing to be part of, a tremendous amount of work to create the most amazing garden spaces, from a football field. All of these things cemented the way I work and act today.
As I sit here now, many years later, too many to admit, I am older, wiser, but none of the passion, care and attention to design detail has gone. I still love what I do and when I look back at the mountain of work I have done and the gardens I have created I feel extremely proud.
They are not just work. They are a part of me that has dedicated itself to a space and a customer, something that will hopefully be enjoyed for many generations to come.
Like a fine vintage wine, we are only getting better with time. So if you are really thinking about changing a corner of the garden, creating a whole new garden or just want some solid advice about any aspect of landscaping and gardening, come and speak to me.
This is what I do.
