Costa Blanca Male Voice Choir: The choir is in final rehearsals for their two flagship Christmas Church Carol concerts. The first at St Bartholomew’s Church in Javea Pueblo at 9pm on Thursday 10th December and the second at Benitachell Church on Wednesday 16th December starting at 7pm. Entry to both concerts is free, and the Choir looks forward to celebrating Christmas with the local community. Details on

Welcome to the Stage Diary, a column that since it was first launched in 2007, has become a major central point of reference to amdram on the Costa Blanca. Not only is it a guide to what’s on in all the regions, but is also an important on-line introduction to potential expat’s researching community life in Spain. The diary also acts as a planning guide to assist groups avoid unnecessary clashes of production dates. This month, we welcome a new addition to our Diary, Studio 32, currently in rehearsals for their next production, ‘Fiddler on the Roof.’
Calpe Gilbert and Sullivan Society: The society is working hard towards next April’s concert performances of ‘Ruddigore’ which is now starting to take shape. They will be taking a
short break for Christmas, ready to start rehearsals again in mid-January. For further information please contact musical director Aileen on: 696 514 613.
Campoverde Theatre Group: The group is presently rehearsing for their latest Pantomime, ‘The Owl and the Pussy Cat’ which will be staged 5th, 6th and 7th February 2016 at Casa de Cultura San Miguel. There are still vacancies for chorus members. The theatre group meet on Mondays and Wednesdays at the Community Centre, Blue Lagoon at 2pm where they welcome new members, especially men, singers and soloists and back stage crew. Cantabile Ladies Choir: The Choir performed a ‘Seasonal Concert’ at La Siesta Church on Saturday 28th November in aid of Church Funds and are now in rehearsals for their Christmas programme. If you

Careline Theatre: Following on from the recent success of the musical, ‘Bugsy Malone,’ Careline invite you to Old Peking for their annual pantomime, ‘Aladdin,’ from the 14th to 17th January at 8pm with matinees at 3pm on 16th and 17th January.
Footlights Theatre Group: After a successful production of the Broadway hit musical ‘Annie,’ the Company are taking an end of season rest. Calpe Footlights would like to thank everyone, including the press, for their

Jávea Players: In 2016, The Players celebrate their 40th anniversary and plan to celebrate in a big way with some really big productions. Roger Brown’s production of ‘Steel Magnolias,’ Cherry Cabban’s production of ‘Our Man in Havana’ and I am told the Summer Show is going to
be something special. Plus, exciting things are being planned for a giant 40th birthday party in their Javea Studio Theatre. So keep an eye on their website

Melody Makers International: MMI are well into rehearsals for their next concert, ‘That’s Entertainment,’ a production with a wide mix that will delight music lovers from choral singing to music from musicals and old rock favourites.
