Javea Bridge Club open day in aid of Alzheimer’s Disease
Thursday 12th November from 13.30, Avda. de Paris 2, 03738 Jávea, Alicante.
In conjunction with our major sponsors, Scottsdale Overseas, and Telitec, Javea Bridge Club will be holding an Open Day to promote the game of Bridge to existing and new players, and at the same time raising well needed funds for Alzheimer’s. We will be having a variety of stalls, including; homemade cakes and jams, jewellery, handbags, designer clothes, raffle etc. Our highly qualified Bridge Instructors will be giving taster lessons during the afternoon to whet your appetite about the fascinating game. We have a full bar, as well as tea and coffee facilities along with tasty tapas. It is a well-known fact that whilst our bodies age, stimulation of the brain can help against the onset of dementia and Alzheimer’s, so it is never too late to take up this game and allow the brain to work a little harder!
Why not come along and meet a very friendly group of bridge players, and at the same time help us to support a worthwhile cause. For further information contact
info@javeabridgeclub.com or telephone Pat on 966 472 158.
Our next meeting will take place on Tuesday10th November at 6.30pm in the Centro Social, Xàbia Old Town. The travel writer and novelist from Granada, Barbara Lamplugh, will be presenting her novel ‘Secrets of the Pomegranate’ and there will be an opportunity for discussion about novels and non-fiction set in Spain.
