This is the TENTH Torrevieja charity calendar produced by Andy Ormiston, which will be sold in various charity outlets for their own benefit. It is a colourful poster sized edition full of information about fiestas and events, not only in Torrevieja, but in other towns of the Valencia and Murcia regions. 2,000 have been printed so there are plenty for the charity outlets from Los Alcazares to Gran Alacant. There are over 70 photos and every month the main photo is about a fiesta or place, with space for notes and bank holidays in Spain, United Kingdom and Ireland marked, along with full moon and some international events listed as well as principal Christian, Jewish and Muslim religious events. It’s not just a twelve month calendar as there are extra pages of photos and information such as local history (past and present). Important emergency numbers are included as well as a number of useful websites for those looking for information of weather, places to visit, hospitals, hotels, tourist events etc. The object is again to raise money for local charities, promote tourism, inform the public of when fiestas, carnivals and happenings occur and also to increase awareness of local fundraising groups and the hundreds of local volunteers, and those individuals and groups who provide help, support and entertainment for the community. This calendar is once again dedicated to those volunteers. Andy wants to thank local businesses who are the calendar sponsors - Alamo Costa Blanca real estate, Atlas Insurance Brokers, Mapfre Insurance, lawyers Aroca Sequier and also Currency Direct.

Studio32, the Costa Blanca’s brightest musical company, are in the final stages of rehearsals for the production of “Dick Whittington”. Susanne Sayers returns to the role of Principal Boy, this year playing Dick Whittington. She is supported by her faithful feline companion Patches the Cat, played by one of our talented young stars Alice Wakeford. Our lead actors and actresses are backed up by a strong chorus line of seasoned singers and dancers, including once again the delightfully talented children of FOOTWORK dance school. Come and join in the pantomime fun as Dick sets out to seek his fortune and become Lord Mayor of London. The show goes on at the Cardenal Belluga Theatre, San Fulgencio from Thursday 12th November to Saturday 14th November. Evening performances start at 7.30pm with doors open 7pm. There is also a matinee on Saturday 14th November which starts at 2.30pm with doors open at 2pm.

Reserved seating tickets, priced at 7€ for evenings and 5€ for the matinee, are available by calling Philip on 642 080 258 or send an email to tickets@studiothirtytwo.org.
