Glycolic peelings are applicable for patients who wish to reduce the signs of sun damage, pigmentation, age spots, acne, fine lines and wrinkles as well as to even out skin tone, giving a more radiant and fresher appearance. Peelings can be done to different degrees depending on the thickness of the skin, the depth of the wrinkles and the aesthetic result desired. Patients are advised to wear sun block for several weeks after treatment and to continue with a minimum of factor 30 sunscreen indefinitely to give lasting results.

Intense pulsed light can be used with a medical IPL machine at a specific high energy (very different to hair removal) in order to treat fine lines and skin imperfections such as age spots and broken blood vessels on the face and neckline. The high energy emitted by a medical IPL machine stimulates the skin to produce collagen and accelerates skin renewal. This creates a tensing effect and in turn smooths out lines. The skin is left radiant and fresh looking.
Facial thread veins can be treated at Zen Smile Spa using IPL (Intense Pulse Light). Both men and women are regularly treated for thread veins which commonly appear on the cheeks and nose area. Thread vein laser treatment normally requires 3-5 sessions and the treatment takes approximately 45minutes in total. AGE SPOT REMOVAL Excess melanin production in the dermis and epidermis of the skin is also the cause of age spots. IPL works as the darker pigment spots absorb the energy emitted by the IPL, where the lighter skin remains cold. The intense heat breaks up the melanin particles which are later exfoliated naturally from the skins surface layer.
