As we age collagen production slows down and the skin becomes more flaccid and loose, especially around the eyes, the jaw line and neck. During this treatment, the collagen is heated to between 45ºC to 60ºC, and starts to change its structure and shrink. Thermal changes cause the formation of new collagen fibres and the skin reforms over a tighter dermis, thus helping to eliminate wrinkles. At the same time the heat dissolves subcutaneous fat, which is absorbed by metabolism, giving the effects of weight loss and slimming.
For the face treatment, the heat forces the existing collagen fibres to contract, thus pulling and tightening the skin and creating an immediate effect of a slimmer and more contoured look. The fibroblast metabolism increase produces collagen fibres creating a long term effect.
