Royal Navy at Dartmouth Food
Festival In the Royal Navy, you will encounter more people and places than most do in a lifetime. If you’re looking for a rewarding career, visit them at the Dartmouth Food Festival. There are a number of roles available in catering and hospi-
tality from Catering services Logisticians to Chefs. You could be part of a team providing official hospitality for visiting Admirals, local dignitaries and even heads of state, both in the uK and abroad. Highly-trained chefs cook and prepare first class food, mak- ing sure the ship’s company receives three nutritious meals a day. It’s not just food preparation though, as you’ll also be involved in ordering and storing ingredients, managing the dining hall and food hygiene practices. A warship is first and foremost a fighting machine though, so you’ll master a much wider range of skills than your civilian counterparts – from firefighting to first aid.
Taylor’s With its delightful views over the river Dart and across to Kingswear, Taylor’s is easily one of the most picturesque places to enjoy fresh cuisine inspired by Devon’s land and sea. Run by Peter and Pauline for 16 years, Taylor’s has built up an outstanding reputation and loyal following due to their continued dedication to doing what they love best – cooking and providing a comfortable and stylish place to dine with family and friends. Dishes are prepared with skill and are cooked freshly to
order by Peter and his team relying on the essential flavours and classic combinations that have been tried and tested over the years, with a real emphasis on quality produce.
Located on the Quay, Taylor’s sets an intimate dining scene with relaxed music & lighting, an attractive decor of sparkling chandeliers & mirrors with the stunning backdrop of Dart- mouth’s beautiful harbourside.
