WORLD Galaxy set for growth
ANGLO-American amusement products manufacturer Galaxy Multi Rides celebrates 25 years in business in 2015 and the company’s growth plan includes an expansion of its successful range of action games. Since its inception, Galaxy has grown to become a leading supplier

Attractions Expo in Florida. Loosely based on the famous television game show, Wipeout, Kapow is the fourth interactive action game from Galaxy, joining Redneck Games, Meltdown and Toxic Rampage. “2015 will see airing in the US the MultiView documentary series
Good Company, where Galaxy Multi Rides has been featured for their entrepreneurship and their mission of making life better for others through a better business,” said the company’s Paul Grinnall, who was recently appointed as Galaxy’s representative in Europe, Middle East, Africa and Asia (EMEAA).
NEWS IN BRIEF
RELIGIOUS PARK LOSES TAX BREAK US The government of Kentucky has withdrawn its offer of tax breaks for a religious-themed park that would feature a 500ft-long wooden ark because its organisers plan to screen park employees based on religion. The planned Ark Encounter park has evolved from a tourism attraction into an outreach for the Christian ministry that is building it, the state tourism secretary, Bob Stewart, said in a letter to the group’s lawyer in December.
CHRISTMAS PARK CLOSES EARLY UK A festive theme park designed by British television personality Laurence Llewelyn-Bowen was closed down on December 15 – nine days earlier than planned – after a key investor pulled its funding. The attraction, based at the Belfry Hotel in Sutton Coldfield, Birmingham, was beset with problems since opening in November. It was forced to shut temporarily the day after its opening because customers complained about elves who were seen smoking and a “skinny” Santa Claus.

The company announced that Atchison will be shifting over to the company’s board of directors and will be replaced by current chairman David D’Alessandro. The move comes as SeaWorld is undertaking a cost-cutting initiative in order to stem a loss of revenue.
