Mich enjoys successful IAAPA Expo
Mich Playground reported a successful IAAPA Expo with the event meeting the company’s expectations, Lin Miao saying that they felt the quantity of visitors was similar to 2013, while the number of buyers with the potential for making purchases was more than previously. The company completed some agreements with existing clients, while its
new product designs also attracted new clients to the show booth. Among the items being promoted was the Trampoline Park, Mich’s most popular product which was well received. Miao believes that the market for children and teenagers will be a positive
one in 2015 and that the Chinese domestic market will experience a ‘reshuffle’ after a lot of investment by many different organisations. As a result, he feels, good investors and operators will increase their strength and gradually grow, while the international market will require more innovative products to meet its requirements. In 2015, Mich is planning to combine its internet and exhibition marketing
strategies to build its brand and expand awareness, as well as creating more new products to take advantage of new opportunities in the industry.
More projects and products for Gosetto
Italian company Gosetto has a number of projects currently underway, as well as adding new attractions to its product line-up. Among the newest projects is a three floor dark ride for Turkey, due for
delivery in 2015, which will utilise the company’s two-seat cars and will incorporate some familiar effects along with TV screens and laser effects. The theme is an old haunted mansion. Gosetto has also recently received an order for a major dark ride and another to build a four-floor fun house with brand new theming, although full details of both attractions were not available at the time of writing. A new vehicle multi-motion system was introduced at the EAS 2014 show
just a few weeks prior to the IAAPA Expo. This offers transition, rotation and pitch movement and can be supplied with various on-board effects. Gosetto has also introduced the new Party Dance ride, aimed at the family
market. This features a central column supporting six, eight or 10 rotating arms with suspended gondolas. The special innovation on the ride is that it combines three different experiences in one – it can move up and down like a tower ride, the arms rotate and the seats rotate 360 degrees. All movements are independent with several speeds, senses of rotation, starts and stops. The company is also building a
new Spinning Coaster, again aimed at the family market and suitable for young children to provide them with their first spinning coaster experience. The first of these will open at a French park later this year.
