Kingsdown Launches New Collections and Rebrands Around “Sleep, Made Smarter” Platform

By Christopher Schriever Following conversations with its retail part- ners nationwide, Kingsdown is unveiling an expanded portfolio at the Winter Las Vegas Market. With several new collections that represent a wide variety of price points, high quality materials and advanced sleep tech- nology, the company is providing retailers with higher profit margins and unique ways to stand out against their competitors. Kingsdown is expanding its specialty sleep product portfolio with the introduction of three new foam collections: the Sleep Ha- ven, Miro and Elliptica line-ups. This major market roll-out brings the number of Kings- down specialty sleep models to 23—one of the largest in the industry. “Specialty sleep product sales continue to

grow nicely and foam is the category leader. Our retailers are looking to us for more al- ternatives to the other memory foam/gel lines in the market to help them differentiate and better compete,” said Kingsdown CEO Frank Hood. “These three collections use the most innovative technologies and materials available in the sleep products industry to provide the best in temperature regulation, air flow, ventilation and breathability with the added benefits of comfort and support that can only be found in foam lines.” Sleep Haven is a six-model specialty latex line designed to provide responsive support, and a more comfortable and cooler night’s sleep than many traditional foam mattress- es. Ranging in price from $1,699 to $3,999 in queen, the collection addresses common sleep issues such as pressure relief, support, temperature regulation, and motion separa-

tion. Each model features Kingsdown’s pro- prietary progressive core and uses different layers of gel, slow response and graphite in- fused latex, gel fiber and performance fabrics to wick away moisture and heat maintaining an ideal temperature throughout the night. The new Miro Collection is comprised of 11 memory foam mattresses, scientifically designed to utilize heavier foams and Kings- down’s proprietary progressive core for ad- vanced motion separation. Models circulate air both horizontally and vertically for excep- tional breathability and use AirFlow tech- nology to provide the enveloping support of memory foam without heat buildup. The Miro Collection ranges in price from $1,699 to $3,999 in queen.

The innovative new Elliptica Collection combines the comfort benefits of foam tech- nology with the support benefits of a propri- etary foam coil design. Each mattress in this six model line-up features the company’s proprietary DNA Coil, revolutionary foam coils constructed from Omalon, high density foams, memory foams and pressure reliev- ing latex. Combining Kingsdown’s progres- sive core, vertically zoned construction and gel-infused visco-elastic foam comfort lay- ers, the Elliptica delivers a unique, support- ive feel with advanced breathability. The El- liptica Collection ranges in price from $1,899 to $3,999 in queen.

In addition to the wide-array of new spe- cialty sleep products, Kingsdown is also debuting a variety of innerspring collection at the Winter Las Vegas Market. As the two- sided mattress design continues to rapidly regain popularity, Kingsdown is adding a pair of two-sided models as part of its Tradition collection. Ranging in price from $1,999 to $2,999 in queen, these elegantly tufted mat- tresses feature fine fabrics infused with silk or cashmere, specialty fibers like natural cot- ton, silk and wool, in addition to pressure- relieving foams with cooling properties that

promote healthier sleep. The line extensions feature vertical zoning and cushion cloud construction for maximum comfort and pres- sure relief, along with Full Body Surround for enhanced edge support. Developed in response to retailer demand for an ultra-luxury premium product, Kings- down is also introducing its most luxurious collection to date, the Diamond Royale. Ranging in price from $5,000 to $15,000 in queen, the three-model line-up is handcraft- ed with both rare and natural fibers such as pure high loft cotton, cashmere, marino and other very rare wools.

Kingsdown will also highlight new struc- tural and aesthetic changes to its Sleep to Live by Kingsdown collection. Working in conjunction with its cutting-edge bed- MATCH diagnostic system, this eight-model innerspring line-up is designed to provide scientifically

recommended postural sup-

port through a core made of precise com- binations of wrapped innerspring coils and luxury foam comfort layers. The aesthetic updates include a sleek, vertically stitched, heather grey border. Sleep to Live ranges in price from $1,999–$3,599 in queen. Developed in line with the company’s new “Kingsdown: Sleep, Made Smarter” brand- ing platform, these product introductions highlight the 110-year-old company’s indus- try leadership in product testing, extensive sleep research and employee owners. “We make the smartest mattresses in the

world. Our commitment to sleep research, data collection and meticulous testing is evi- dent in every mattress we manufacture,” said Hood. “What truly sets us apart is that we are an employee-owned company. We don’t answer to a group of investors or a parent company that makes every decision based on money, rather than a great night’s sleep. We take pride in our work, in the artistry and craftsmanship we put into every mattress.” Visit kingsdown.com.
