Naturepedic Debuts Entry-Level Organic Mattress and Series of Customized Collection Updates

By Gretchen Kast Naturepedic Organic Mattresses is unveil- ing a host of new and updated organic sleep products at the upcoming Winter Las Vegas Market, including the Genesis mattress, a series of new customizable, modular de- signs and a line of luxury organic sheets. Developed to fill a need between the price points and craftsmanship of the existing kids line-up and the adult luxury models, the new Genesis mattress will re- tail for $1,999 in queen. The unique breath- able construction rivals the comfort and support of foam and latex beds but elimi- nates the airflow restriction and high flam- mability of these materials. “The Genesis organic mattress is the perfect model for retailers who have cus- tomers curious about organic mattresses, but looking for an entry-level price tag,” said Jeff Cik, CEO of Naturepedic Organic Mattresses. “Our retailers have been tell-

ing us it is also popular for parents looking for an organic mattress for older children or for guest bedrooms to show off their healthy lifestyle.”

Handmade in the US, the Genesis boasts a series of organic certifications, including GOTS, OCS100 and GREEN- GUARD “Gold”. With a layer of high-den- sity encased microcoils over a continuous coil innerspring, Naturepedic offers luxuri- ously comfortable medium-firm support, free from polyurethane foam, latex, fire retardant chemicals and flame retardant barriers.

In addition to the Genesis, Naturepedic is showcasing a series of updated sleep prod- ucts that offer advanced customization. The company has incorporated comfort option to the modular design of its popular EOS Pillowtop organic mattress. The ex- isting multi-layered zippered construction has been enhanced with a new pillowtop

section: an additional 3-inch customizable layer for consumers looking for the added comfort of a pillowtop. The updated bed is available in soft microcoils or organic latex and can also be split comfort. The updated 2015 model of the Nature- pedic Quartet luxury mattress has also been upgraded to combine hand-built luxu- ry with personalization. Made with all certi- fied organic wool in the quilt, the bed’s top layer will now be accessible with a zippered construction to allow for customization of microcoils or organic latex to accommodate different sleep partners’ preferences. For a more sustainable product design, the com- fort layers can also be changed, while still keeping the luxury support—a permanent bottom support layer that features coils individually wrapped in certified organic cotton fabric, hand-assembled in Chagrin Falls, Ohio. The company further enhances the customization of the Quartet by ensur- ing its accommodation with Naturepedic’s Conductor, the only organic cotton and or- ganic latex upholstered adjustable base on the market.

Keeping with Naturepedic’s new modu- lar approach, the updated Concerto luxury mattress is now also available with another layer of customization: a pillowtop layer of microcoils or latex for opulent organic luxury. Both the pillowtop and comfort lay- ers allow for Naturepedic’s 90-day comfort exchange and will now also work with Na- turepedic’s Conductor adjustable base. The company’s final Las Vegas introduc-

tion is the new Naturepedic Organic Sheet collection. Available in white or natural color with windowpane checkered design, the GOTS-certified, ultra-soft 300 thread count sheets are made from non-GMO, certified organic cotton harvested with fair labor practices. Visit naturepedic.com.
