Glasgow Chamber of Commerce is continuing to expand its network and in this issue of Glasgow Business we welcome an international exhibitions and conference organiser and a leading city restaurant. Reed Exhibitions, which is
bringing the All-Energy Exhibition and Conference to Glasgow for the first time in 2015, joined Glasgow Chamber in July, with Cafe Gandolfi becoming a member the following month. Te All-Energy event, which is
the UK’s largest renewable energy conference, will be held at the SECC from 6-7 May 2015. Te free-to-atend exhibition
will showcase the complete range of renewable and sustainable technologies and will be accompanied by a conference featuring leading global speakers. Te 2014 event atracted
visitors from 48 nations and brought together the largest group of renewable energy developers
and supply chain partners seen anywhere in the UK. Councillor Gordon Matheson,
Leader of Glasgow City Council, Chair of Glasgow City Marketing Bureau and Chair of Sustainable Glasgow, said: “We are delighted that All-Energy 2015 will take place in Glasgow. “As the UK’s first green energy
super-city, Glasgow truly is the perfect home for the UK’s largest renewable energy event.” Cafe Gandolfi has been a
mainstay on the Glasgow restaurant scene for many years with Scotish cuisine that has proved a hit with critics and customers alike. Its stylish interior has an
atmosphere all of its own, with blonde wood furniture and globe lights providing the backdrop to meals that include Scotish ingredients such as Stornoway black pudding, Barra scallops and Arbroath smokies. Te original Café Gandolfi has
been complemented with Bar Gandolfi upstairs, which has the range of food from the original café plus the bar’s own offerings, including pizzas. Owner Seamus MacInnes
added to his Gandolfi range in 2007 with the opening of Gandolfi Fish further down Albion Street, which offers seafood from Scotish waters, particularly from Skye. Te latest member of the
Gandolfi family is Gandolfi Fish To Go, opened in September 2013, which offers grilled and batered fish and a range of fish and shellfish dishes. Susan McKay, Head of
Partnership & Membership Operations at Glasgow Chamber of Commerce, said: “We are delighted to welcome these two new members to Glasgow Chamber. We are continually adding to our member businesses, which increases the range and depth of the network that members can draw on.”
