t’s National Butchers’ Week Monday 24th – Sunday 30th March and we thought we would jump on the bandwagon to help celebrate our well-deserving local food
heroes. All across the West Country, from Bristol to Cornwall to Dorset, Somerset and Devon we have so many skilled farmers and butchers that deserve our support, and all it takes is a weekly trip to your local butchers shop.
Make friends with your local butcher and your
cooking repertoire will thank you. Remember, butchers aren’t just there to cut meat; they are there to offer help and advice too. Don’t be afraid to ask them questions, they are experts, passionate about what they do and happy to help. We spoke to three butchers across the West Country who demonstrate this with some fantastic tips and advice, including some lesser- known cuts that might just save you some money too.
