The LL.M. program is designed for students holding degrees in law from universities outside the United States. Students from around the world come to Nebraska and receive a rigorous academic experience studying U.S. law. Graduates are trained to meet the demands of legal practice in our globalized world by attending their courses side-by-side with J.D. students.

The program in International Criminal Law and Justice prepares students for careers involving a diverse range of justice issues, includ- ing counter terrorism, peacekeeping and diplomacy, military law, anti-counterfeiting, piracy, human trafficking — areas expanding in vital importance in our globalized world.

This two-semester LL.M. allows non-U.S. students to select courses from the entire WU Law course catalog, including a mandatory two-semester Introduction to U.S. Law. Top students are eligible to apply to transfer into WU Law’s J.D. program at the conclusion of the LL.M.
