Naturex strengthens its NAT oleis™
line with luxurious botanical butters and oils
Following the successful launch of its botanical oil range in October, Naturex is already expanding the line to feature botanical butters along with new premium oils. As part of this new range, the odourless botanical butters provide high stability in formulations and are content rich in saturated fatty acid. Closely related to the shea tree, seeds from the moabi tree found in Africa are used to produce a rich butter sometimes referred to as “the pygmy’s shea butter.” This exciting new ingredient provides an enticing and unique alternative to the closely related shea. Another similarly rich butter hails from a very different climate. Referred to by Himalayan inhabitants as “the butter tree,” chiuri butter has a wide range of traditional cosmetic uses, including skin healing, moisturising and even the alleviation of rheumatic pain. Both butters can easily be incorporated in a large range of cosmetic applications for an exotic twist. Dhatelo oil, also a product of Nepal, has long been used by the native population to soothe and heal skin conditions and to add strength and shine to their hair. Both Nepalese products are wild harvested through a cooperative that gives villagers a stake in the production and a path out of poverty. The range will also include three other premium
ingredients from locations around the globe: tamanu, kukui and safflower oil.

KPT will launch its innovative and patented technology named Emulsion Pearls. With this new technology, practically any o/w-emulsion can be transferred into beads. These Emulsion Pearls are available in different sizes and may be colourised and produced as dual coloured pearls. They can also be mixed with any kind of additives such as actives, scrubs and pigments. As Emulsion Pearls are soft to begin with they can be used in water-free liquid systems such as w/o- or w/s-emulsions for visualisation effects in a product, or for specific functions or sensory feelings. They may also be used in common o/w-vehicles, gels, serums and in skincare, colour cosmetics and personal care. With this new innovative and patented technology, KPT opens a new platform to provide multifunctional effects in soft, spherical shapes.

The GREENTECH way - new actives and textures
GREENTECH, a leading supplier of innovative active ingredients, will be offering new solutions resulting from biotechnologies in skincare. Many new natural actives will be presented at the show including an active for dark circles, ideal as an effective formulation of concealer. This has been developed by cryoextraction, a high tech tool patented by GREENTECH. The Company will also be showcasing an active against oily skin. Obtained by probiotic fermentation, it counteracts sebum secretion which is ideal for acne-prone skincare products. This is part of the new range of ingredients - PROBIOPHYT. 2 other classes of new
